Seed Festival & Seeds of Diversity’s AGM

Saturday November 5, 2016          8:30 to 2
Truro Farmer’s Market, 15 Young St.
Truro, NS

Come celebrate seeds with us at the Truro Farmer’s Market. Seeds of Diversity Canada is partnering with the Truro Market to host a Seed Harvest Celebration during the Saturday market, 8:30 to 1 pm followed by the SoDC Annual General meeting at 2 PM in the Market Annex. Admission is free.

*Demonstrations of seed cleaning techniques
*A children’s corner where the Little Sprouts who were given their own heritage tomatoes and beans to grow this spring can tell us how they did and get a certificate and prize pack.
*A celebration of our vendor growers who save seed or use traditional varieties on their farm
*Our Seed Swap Table
* “Guess the Beans” draw
and a host of other seed-related activities!

At 1, as the market winds down, take time to eat food you brought or bought at the market, while we set up for the AGM. At the AGM, Seeds of Diversity members can vote for the new Board and tell us directly how they think we’re doing.

We’ve got a real Seedy Celebration planned, and we hope you’ll join us!

If you are planning to come and have a seedy idea you think would be great or just want more information, send a line to michelle.smith@seeds.ca
